From Box: The Prowler made his debut in The Amazing Spider-Man #78 (November 1969). Hobie Brown was a creative African-American young man who while possessed of a gift for creating inventions, could nonetheless only find work as a window cleaner... When Brown lost his job, he bitterly devised a plan in which he would pose as a supervillain in order to steal cash then return the stolen goods as Hobie Brown... The plan was short-lived... for on his very first outing he ran into Spider-Man...
